Veteran's Breakfast hosted in the Major General Edward M. Reeder Jr. Student Veteran Resource Center
Location: 2nd Floor of Plemmons Student Union Rm #251

This year, the Appalachian Energy Summit will host our military's veterans during a breakfast on Tuesday morning, July 11th.  Attendees may grab a plate of breakfast from the fourth floor's Parkway Ballroom and head down to the new Major General Edward M. Reeder Jr. Student Veteran Resource Center on the second floor. This new campus resource has become an integral part of Appalachian State University's efforts in providing exceptional services to our student veterans. Eric Gormly, Coordinator of Student Veteran Services, will be available during this time to welcome our veteran attendees of the summit.

MOVIE: The newly released 2017 film From the Ashes will be shown in the Plemmons Student Union Greenbriar Theater on Wednesday, July 12th, at 2:00 p.m. From Appalachia to the West's Powder River Basin, the film goes beyond the rhetoric of the "war on coal" to present compelling stories about what is at stake for our economy, health and climate (National Geographic).
